Season Porch Water Damage

Hey all, new poster here. I spent a few years working professionally as a carpenter and just got a call to look at water damage on a porch as a side job. The porch was an addition.
There is a dormer roof over the stairs and entry door. The roof has struts tying back to the house at a 45°. The struts are not treated wood and abut to the wall sheathing that is also not treated. There is no waterproofing membrane on the sheathing. There is a whole tube of caulk around the joint (I feel like this should be in the wall of shame thread)

The flashing is just a roofing drip edge and slopes back toward the house.
